Cemetery Association of Murphy, Inc. Joins Maize Days Celebration

Members of the Cemetery Association of Murphy, Inc. took turns manning a booth at the City of Murphy's Maize Day fall celebration on September 26th. The organization's photo album and artifacts found at the cemetery were on display as well as promotion for the upcoming History Blooms in the Decatur-Maxwell-Murphy Cemetery annual bulb planting scheduled for November 7th.

This year preceding the bulb planting, the unveiling and dedication of the Texas Historical Marker will take place at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend this ceremony and then help plant bulbs for spring blooms.
